Atomic Structure

Text: pages 240-252. 3 day unit.

Objectives

After completing this section, students will:

1.    be able to compare and contrast proton, neutron and election,

2.    be able to draw or otherwise model the structure of various atoms,

3.    be able to determine the makeup of various atom's nuclei given the atomic mass.

Activities

1.   A worksheet to practice determining the makeup of a nucleus

2.   An internet lesson worksheet
