The midterm grade is based on the first 2 quizzes, the Midterm exam, the first five labs, homework grade and the research paper outline. The maximum total points considered for the midterm is 375.
You will have 5 points deducted from the total homework grade each day either the assigned homework, or the daily work, is not completed.
The teaching assignment PowerPoint printout must be handed in to get the points. The question portion of this assignment is due 5 days before the midterm or final, as applicable, or these 40 points are lost.
You can use an index card on the exams. You cannot use any notes or other materials on the quizzes. No grades are on curves.
It is very difficult to pass this class if the Labs, Homework, Research Paper and Teaching Assignment are not completed for maximum points. Average students will score only 40-60% on the quizzes and the exams.
