Jerry's Guitars at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame |
| We visited the Rock and Roll Hall of
Fame on Friday, August 24th, 2001. Above are the 5 Garcia guitars on
display. It is the one area of the museum in which photographs are
allowed, and there was no charge. However, we purchased tickets
allowing access to the entire museum.
There is a Jerry interview in a windows kiosk on floor 1. Looked like about 1993 or so. Jerry is also in the inductees retrospective, late 60's, standard quote used a lot - talking about "a simple life, an uncluttered life...". The best part of the museum, dead-wise, was their entry in the music bank. Many live versions. Three Altheas, one I had not heard before. Click on any guitar body to get a closer look. |
