Time how long it takes for each person to walk or run a certain distance. Determine the fastest. Work in groups of five or six.
Using football field, you will walk between the 20 and 10 yard lines. If using the gym, you will walk between the base line and half court line. If outside, we will mark off a given distance.
Each member of the group should complete three trials. Use the top table to summarize your own 3 trials. Then summarize the results of all group members in the second grid below.
